I am a Licensed Alchol and Drug Counselor and to have your guests suggest that Lindsay has hit "rock bottom" based on 2 DUIs and being busted for a small amount of Cocaine seems premature. These behaviors do not predispose her to be an alcoholic or addict. The illness is complex and many other factors must be considered to begin making judgements on her. In deed, these are significant warning signs but let's give her the opportunity to be evaluated before we diagnose her. God only knows what she really has going on in her life ie; depression, stress, who knows.  Thanks, Steve Hanson, LADC

I am sick of hearing about  these drunken movie stars. Who cares?!  Our country is going down the in flames, we have a corrupt government, a corrupt health care system, global warming etc and you waste hours reporting on stupid drunken movie stars. I turn the channel every time you start again. Please stop!

I doubt the nation was too shocked! She is no different from many others her age that just happen to be in college and not in the national spotlight 24/7. The only bad thing here is that most people would have slowed down a little bit after getting DUI #1. The fact that she has 2 DUI's w/in a month does nothing but make a mockery of the judge that let her off the hook after her first one(which in most cases is a minimal fine and minimal jail time if they even order it). I seriously doubt she has a problem. She is after all 21(i think). Just about everyone i know enjoys going out on the weekend to have drinks and a good time. These are the "fun years" but people just have to be smart enough to call a cab or in her case just HIRE A CHAUFFER!!!!

my coment about lohan , everybody keeps saying she's trying to find herself. personally I'd say a star  with to much money and no regard for the rules or the law. and feels she can get away with whatever she does, beacuse she has the bucks. that's the problem with this society, money talks and bs  walks.

I am astonished that you media people honestly believe that the "nation" would give this story more than two minutes of time out of their day, or really care about the outcome.

As a foreigner, I fail to understand why the media in the US spends time in covering the irresponsible, criminal and stupid behavior of worthless,drug adicts, alcoholic low lifes, like Paris, Britney, Lohan, and the rest.

I am a mother of five. Parenting takes every bit of energy you can drum up - that's why it works better with two - for energy level alone.  This talented young lady has been left to navigate a horrible life in Hollywood (whatever that entails)by herself.  This isn't a game and photographers are clicking everything.  I point my finger to her parents who chose to put their own needs before their child, for whatever reason.  You just do not get to do that, sorry Mr. and Mrs. Lohan.  Divorce or not, your feelings are of little consequence when it comes to your child.  Stick with her and help her get some help.  Call Dr. Phil.  Her life is not a joke.

The comment that the one bonebrains passanger/friend of hers, gave to the news about his experience in here car: he claimed "she was going about 100 mph on PCH the whole time, without caring about lights or other cars"... Uh...I and a stupid east coaster and I have driven on PCH and I can tell you for sure that there are not many places that a druken, coked up assmunch woman driver could do 100mph and live to get arrested!!!!!

I'm with Doug from Minnesota...also Corbin from Ohio.  I only earn a middle-class salary-- nothing close to what Linday earns-- but I could afford a driver if I was in that much trouble.  Come on!

The judge in the Lohan case needs to step back and realize the kind of message being sent out by this latest ruling. We have laws to protect innocent people so they don't get hurt ect. In this case due to her recognition and fame, the judge has sent out a clear concise message that it's ok to be drunk and wreckless with a auto. Seems like the only way Lohan will get help is after she hurts herself as well as someone else while she is behind the wheel. It's super hard to say  "I'm sorry" when all this could have been resolved by getting rehab and some honest to goodness family support,which she is defiantly not recieving. Like the old adage monkey see monkey do. I think her whole family need counceling to solve this mess.
